Found My Love [Learning to Love 3] (Siren Publishing Classic) Page 4

After a few more moments he pinches my clit slightly and it sends me over. “Oh, Chase, that feels so good.” I have clamped my legs shut on his hand as I shake. I must be louder than I realize because he covers my mouth with his to muffle the noise. He pulls away from kissing me, removes his soaked fingers from my panties, and sucks them clean.

I look at him wide eyed as he says, “You taste mighty fine, T.”

I press him onto his back and straddle him at his waist, tugging him up by his arms so I can rid him of his shirt. He takes his hands and wraps them around my waist to unclip the back of my bra. I push him back down and kiss him. He tastes of Chase and my arousal. I’ve never kissed a man after he’s gone down on me and although he only fingered me, I can taste myself from him sucking my juices from his fingers and I love it.

I slide down him, to undo the button on his shorts, making quick work of removing them. He’s so rock hard that there is a bead of pre-cum at the tip of his cock, so I stick my tongue out to lick it up. I’m so turned on right now. I waste no time. I want to taste him. I want him deep in my throat, but he’s huge, so I know I’ll need to use my hand, too.

I settle between his legs and wrap one hand around his shaft while I gently place my lips around his mushroom tip. I start sucking him in deeper and deeper, each time stroking with my hand at the same time.

He moans. “T, that feels amazing.”

I’m glad because I have not done this in a long time. I continue, refusing to stop until I feel him explode in my mouth. I work him harder and taking his cock as deep as I can.

“Babe, you should pull away. I can’t hold it much longer.”

I smile with him in my mouth and work him more.

“T, if you don’t want me to come in your mouth, now is the time.”

I keep going because I want him to explode in my mouth. I want to taste him, swallow down every last drop, and that is exactly what happens.

“Oh yeah, T. That is amazing,” he moans as he spills his seed into my mouth.

We lay in bed together, just touching each other and talking when we realize it’s starting to get late. I throw on some PJ pants and a T-shirt while he puts his boxers back on so we can relax in bed until we fall asleep. I lay with my head on his muscular chest, inhaling his masculine scent. He wraps his arm around me and thank him for an amazing day for both Katie and me. He tells me that I’m welcome, and within minutes we are both drifting off.

  Chapter 4

  “Mommy, I wet my bed.”

Katie shakes me as I fight to open my eyes. I’m tired and have no idea what time it is, but clearly it wasn’t a good idea to put her to bed without going to the bathroom. I groan and roll out of bed, noticing that it is only five thirty. I head to her room, clean up her bed, and change her clothes so I can tuck her back in. I lay her back down and tell her she needs to sleep for a while longer, so she does.

I get back to bed and smile at Chase’s naked upper body. He’s really hot, with his neatly cut short brown hair and his chiseled chest. I love that he has just a few small tats but nothing crazy. As I climb back into bed, he rolls over.

“What’s wrong?” he says half asleep.

I tell him that Katie wet the bed and to go back to sleep, so he grabs me and we both doze back off.

“Mommy, it is time to wake up!” I feel someone nudging me. “Mommy, why is Chase in your bed with no shirt on?”

Half-asleep, we both burst into a fit of laughter. “Katie, please go put on the TV,” I say, “and we will be out in a few minutes.” She puts her hands on her hips, and I can feel her staring at me. “What, Katie?” I open my eyes fully and sit up.

  “Is Chase your boyfriend now?”

“What? How do you know about boyfriends?” I ask, surprised she has said this.

Chase chuckles, half asleep. “Yes, Katie, I am Mommy’s boyfriend. Is that okay?”

She smiles. “Yeah. I think you’re fun, but Daddy is going to be mad. He said Mommy can’t have a boyfriend.”

“Well, he doesn’t get to decide that, so don’t worry about Daddy. Now go watch TV, and I’ll come out and make us all breakfast in a few minutes.” I’m bit snappier than I mean to be, but who the hell is Kyle to tell her that?

“Okay, Mommy!” she sings as she skips out of my room.

I’m glad that she didn’t sense my frustration.

“Well, that was an interesting way to wake up.” Chase chuckles.

“Sorry. She’s kind of an early riser,” I say, feeling bad that my daughter interrupted his sleep on his day off.

“Baby, I’m not talking about that. I’m usually up by now anyway. I mean the fact that she just told you your ex doesn’t want you having a boyfriend.”

“Oh, and unfortunately, she will run and tell him the next time she sees him, and only God knows what he’s going to say,” I say flatly.

“Baby, there’s nothing he can say or do, so don’t worry about it. You haven’t been with the guy for ages, so screw him,” he says as he leans in to kiss me. “Let’s go make her some breakfast!”

“You mean you cook, too?” I say, picking on him.

“How else am I going to eat? There is no cook or maid living at my house, I can promise you that.”

I laugh as I climb out of bed and head to the kitchen. “Katie, would you like some chocolate chip pancakes?” I yell from the kitchen.

“Yes, please!” she says from in front of the TV.

I start mixing batter to make her pancakes, and I look at Chase. “Do you want pancakes, or I have eggs? I’m defrosting some bacon,” I say, figuring he will not want pancakes.

He looks in the fridge. “Do you like them scrambled with some veggies?”

“Sure,” I say, excited that he eats the way I do.

“Okay. How about I make us some scrambled eggs with veggies and you make the pancakes and bacon.” He almost looks excited to be helping.

“Sounds good to me.” I’m happy to have someone in the kitchen with me. It’s nice to have an adult to talk to and not just a seven-year-old. “I’ll make us a pot of coffee, too.”

“Oh yes, please. I love coffee, baby,” he says. Grinning he approaches me from behind, wraps his arms around me, and kisses my neck. “I also love the way you taste.”

I instantly blush at his comment, thinking about what he did last night. It was so hot that we spent the night just touching and kissing, yet we still took care of each other. He goes back to chopping onions, mushrooms, and peppers while I add mini chocolate chips to the batter as my griddle heats.

“T, where do you keep your pans?” he says, confused.

“Oh, they are in the oven. I don’t have a lot of cabinet space, so I have to keep them there.”

He pulls open the oven door and finds a ton of pots and frying pans. He looks through and takes the pan he wants, heats it up, and adds some olive oil to it. He’s cooking the veggies while I’m finishing Katie’s pancakes. Her bacon just finished in the microwave, so I pour her some juice and call her to the table. This is her favorite breakfast so she should have no problem eating a healthy portion. She can be a picky eater sometimes, and it is a royal pain. I often fight her on it, but sometimes it just isn’t worth it. By the time I’m done cooking the remainder of the bacon and toast, he has made our eggs, and she’s bringing me her empty plate, asking if she can go back to TV. I tell her fine.

Chase and I sit down to eat breakfast, and I’m so happy. “Chase, this looks so good. Thanks for helping me cook.” I hear my stomach rumble to let me know I’m starved.

“I actually don’t mind cooking at all,” he says, like it is no big deal.

“To be honest, even if you didn’t, it’s nice just to have an adult here to talk to. I adore my daughter, but it gets really lonely when you only have a seven-year-old to talk to,” I say, slightly sad.

“Why didn’t you start dating sooner? You’re such a beautiful woman. I can’t believe nobody has tried,” he asks, full of surprise.

p; “They’ve tried, but either they were jerks because they found out I have a kid or they just didn’t pique my interest the way you do.” I smile as I take another bite. “After a while I just gave up. It wasn’t worth getting hurt again.”

“Yeah, I hear you. My ex made me think she was totally in love with me, but she was banging some other guy. She was struggling financially, so I offered to help her out. I gave her some money and then found out that she was only with me so she could get as much from me as she could. She wasn’t hurting for money at all. I felt like a sucker and didn’t go near another woman for a while.”

“Well, you don’t have to worry about that with me. I wouldn’t take money from my parents when they offered to help me. I certainly am not going to take money from you,” I say a bit more defensively than I mean to.

“That’s the thing, T. I would help anyone who needed it. I have no problem doing that if you need it. Don’t feed me some crap that you’re hurting and then just take my money for your boyfriend’s drugs and alcohol abuse,” he says angrily.

“Well, the only thing I need is for you to cook for me more often because this was really good,” I say, trying to lighten his mood. “So what are your plans for the day?”

I have no idea if he’s going to hang with us, but as I’m waiting for a response both our phones go off. I look and mine is a text from Tracey asking if we can go to their house for a cookout next weekend. I look at Chase. “Out of curiosity, was that Sean?” I say with a puzzled look.

“Yeah, why? Was yours Tracey?” he says with a slight smile.

We flash each other our invite text and say in unison, “She’s pregnant,” and we start laughing.

He says, “Any problem with going there next weekend?”

“Not as long as they don’t mind me bringing Katie if I can’t find a sitter.” He looks at me with the biggest grin on his face. “What?” I say, confused by the look on his face.

“I have a babysitter for you. My cousin is awesome with kids, and she loves to babysit. She’s seventeen and has been through all the babysitting courses and is first-aid and CPR certified.”

“Chase, that is great! I don’t have a babysitter besides my mom, and it would be nice to be able to go out without having to call her. Of course, it would be nice if I could count on Kyle, but I told him he wasn’t taking her unless he called me to tell me he wanted to pick her up. I’m so tired of making excuses for him.”

“I’m getting some more coffee. Want some?” he says as he grabs my cup.

“Sure, but you never answered my question.”

  “What question was that, T?”

“What are your plans for today?” I say, really hoping he isn’t just going to eat and run.

He comes back into the room with our coffee. “To be honest, I didn’t really have any plans. I wasn’t expecting to stay the night, so I don’t have any clothes here, but I’m not in a rush to go home either. Why do you have plans for today?”

I laugh and explain that my Sunday consists of Katie time and laundry if I need to do it. He shrugs and says we should start with cleaning up from breakfast. Of course, I agree.

We have had an amazing day together. Chase helped me carry my laundry up and down the stairs so I could wash Katie’s dirty sheets and make sure I was caught up on the rest of our clothes. We played games and watched a few movies with her. We even sat on the living room floor to eat lunch while we watched one of the movies. At one point, Katie tried to tackle Chase, and he pretended to fall so she would think she was successful. I laughed as she made a muscle. She thought she was so strong.

I just sat back and enjoyed the show they were putting on, but I have to say I was a bit sad, too, because part of me wished her father would do things like this with her. I don’t want anything to do with him relationshipwise, but I want Katie to have a good father figure in her life. I was always Daddy’s little girl, and I want her to know what that’s like.

“Are you staying for dinner?” I ask him since I have nothing planned.

“Actually I think I’m going to get going soon. I need a shower, and I have to get up early tomorrow, but will you call me after you get the munchkin to bed?”

“Hey, who are you calling a munchkin?” Katie pipes in, pretending to be tall and strong.

He starts laughing and he says, “You,” as he ruffles his fingers through her hair, messing it up.

“Sure, I’ll give you a call. I’m just going to shower quickly after I get her to bed.”

“Sounds like a plan to me. Next time I’ll pack an overnight bag just in case.”

“Sounds like a plan to me,” I say, grinning because I stole his words.

He gives me a long, sexy kiss as he’s standing at the door.

  “Eeewww, gross,” Katie whines.

I pull away blushing. I’ve never kissed a man in front of my daughter. “I’ll call you later,” I confirm as he walks out.

  “Later, Katie!”

  “Later, Chase!”

I head into the kitchen to make chicken nuggets and mac and cheese for Katie’s dinner. I grab my phone on the way, so I can call Abbey. There is no way I can wait until tomorrow to tell her about my weekend.

“Hey, Theresa. What’s up?” She sounds so happy when she answers.

“Oh my God, Abbey, listen to this. Chase showed up yesterday as I was fighting with Kyle, and of course, he was like a knight in shining armor. We ended up taking Katie to the zoo, and then he spent the night.”

“No way! So I take it things are good since your talk Wednesday night?”

We sound like two teenagers talking about our first crush, but I don’t care, because I haven’t liked someone like this in a long time.

“Things are great! Katie caught him in my bed with no shirt on. She was like ‘Mommy, why is Chase in your bed with no shirt on? Is he your boyfriend?’ I was shocked, but Chase handled it like a champ. He’s really good with her.”

“That’s awesome, so are you guys going to Sean and Tracey’s next weekend?”

“Yeah, Chase even said he could get me a sitter for Katie since I can’t rely on Kyle. He said he has a teenage cousin that is awesome with kids.”

  “That is great!” Abbey says.

“Hey, I meant to ask you. Do you know if it has to do with her thinking she’s pregnant?”

“Probably, but she hasn’t told me,” Abbey says, disappointed. “I think she’s trying to get back at me for making you all wait for the date,” she says with a chuckle.

I giggle and then sigh. “I should finish Katie’s dinner, but I’ll see you tomorrow morning.”

“Yes you will. Good night, Theresa.”

  “Good night, Abbey.”

I have cleaned up the kitchen from dinner, given Katie a bath, and got her to bed. Now that the house is quiet and I can’t stop thinking about Chase. His amazing hazel eyes, and the way he looks into mine, it’s like he sees right through me, into the deepest parts of me. When he does, I can’t even look away. I’m totally sucked in. I need to quickly shower so I can call him as promised. I don’t want him to think I’m going to avoid him because he isn’t here. That certainly won’t help his trust issues.

I grab my nightclothes and head into the bathroom to take a quick shower. I start the water up and while I wait for it to warm, I send off a quick text to Chase.

Jumping in the shower now will call you when I’m done.

Yummy, now I can picture you naked because I finally got to see that beautiful body of yours.

  *blushing*

I get into the shower and quickly wash my hair, scrub my body, and then shave my legs and underarms. I want to wear a skirt tomorrow, so I need to make sure my legs are perfect. This woman doesn’t do nylons. I jump out of the shower, dry off, and throw on my clothes. I’m excited to get to bed so I can talk to Chase.

I climb into bed with my phone and my tea ready to relax. I take a sip of the tea so I can take my pi
ll before I forget. I press Chase’s speed dial button that he programmed in my phone.

  “Hey, T, what’s up, babe?”

“Nothing really, I’m just sitting in my bed with some tea, talking to you.”

“Are you still blushing? Because I love to make you blush. Your skin is so smooth and soft, but it looks gorgeous when it turns pink,” he says with a hint of a teasing in his voice.

“Well, I am now, thank you very much.”

He bursts into laughter. “So what is your schedule like this week? When can I see you again?” he asks, all business.

“Well I work until about five every day. My mom is going to take Katie on Wednesday night so I can go to Krav Maga. She said that is her standing night with Katie, so I do not need to ask every week.”

“That’s cool. Your mom sounds pretty awesome.”

“Yeah she is. My parents are retired, so I think Katie gives them something to do, and they have no problem bringing her to school in the morning—speaking of which, I have to do back to school shopping because she starts school tomorrow and I have gotten her nothing.”

“What do you have to get her?”

“You know the basics, pencils, crayons, washable markers, folders. The teachers give us a list of what we need, and we are supposed to have it by Monday of the following week. Of course, I have procrastinated, so I have only bought her one outfit for her first day tomorrow.”

“Why don’t we go together on Friday night? I’ll meet up with you after work, and we can do dinner together with Katie. Then go shopping with her. If you want, I’ll spend the night, and we can go to the cookout together on Saturday.”

“That sounds like a good plan. Did you happen to talk to your cousin about babysitting on Saturday?” I’m hoping that I don’t have to ask my mom to watch her on Wednesday and Saturday. I know she would love to, but Katie tires her out.

“I did. I called Sam on my way home today, and she’s good to go. She said she can come over around two. That way she can spend an hour or so with you and Katie before we take off. She wants to make sure you’re comfortable.”
